Data protection and legal certainty

Server location Germany

Nowadays, almost everyone uses interactive maps. From cell phones and desktop computers to navigation devices, map applications have become an integral part of our everyday lives.

The cost of the map services

It's almost a truism by now, but we pay for free applications with our data. Therefore, most of these map services require consent from their visitors before they are displayed. As a company that wants to use maps on its website, you often need user consent on the website and a data processing agreement with the provider as a prerequisite for the data protection-compliant use of these services.

There is also often legal confusion about what is and is not permitted in the EU. The European Court of Justice has therefore been called upon several times to clarify this (Schrems 1 and Schrems 2 judgment)

Legal certainty for your online offering

With its services, 123map offers an extremely simple way of avoiding such uncertainties.

As we do not track users' IP data or use any other technologies to track visitors, it is not necessary to conclude a DP contract with us.

The server systems for our standard offerings are located exclusively in a German data center (Hanover) and are managed and maintained by us.
